When flat towing any vehicle and you have a coach with air brakes, you only have a few different options as far as braking systems go. One of 'em is gonna be the InvisiBrake, which is a little bit tricky of an install. Overall, it can be very good. Roadmaster InvisiBrake Braking System Installation - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now there's five main components required when flat towing a vehicle. And starting on the vehicle side it's gonna be your base plate and the base plate is going to attach to the structural frame or at least bumper supports of a vehicle, creating a solid mounting point. It's also gonna create other mounting points for your other components, including your tow bar. So your tow bar's gonna attach to the arms and that's gonna be the connection point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. Now going along with that, we also have our safety chains and that's going to make sure in case of a disconnect we still have the cables attached to the vehicle. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Stay and Play Duo proportional braking system for a towed vehicle on a 2023 Ford Ranger. Braking system is gonna be one of your required components for flat towing a vehicle and that's because it's states required especially on something that weighs as much as the Ranger. Now what this does is allow you to slow and stop in your RV and the brakes will be applied on your towed vehicle. So that way it's not pushing the vehicle around, it's just gonna make for a much better towing experience. It's like having trailer brakes when pulling a trailer. Now also with that you get safety, because this breakaway cable here, if an accidental disconnect happened, for whatever reason, and the cable is pulled, the brakes are gonna be applied on the towed vehicle bringing it to a stop. more

There's five main components when flat towing a vehicle and starting on the vehicle side you're gonna have the base plate and that's gonna attach to the frame or the structural support of the vehicle allowing an attachment point not only for our towbar but for all the rest of our components. We also have our diode wiring which is gonna transmit the light signals from the RV to the towed vehicle, including your running lights, brake lights and turn signals and that way people behind you know what you're doing. Roadmaster InvisiBrake Braking System Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Spark- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System on a 2022 Chevrolet Spark. Now your braking system is gonna allow the vehicle to slow and stop as the RV goes down the road, but also you're gonna have a breakaway switch here. And that way if the car does become detached from all of your towbar and safety cables, it's gonna pull our cable and that's gonna allow those brakes to apply on the vehicle and then bring it to a stop. Now the InvisiBrake is pretty nice because your box will be mounted inside allowing you to adjust the pressure on the cylinder, and the rest of the cylinder lives up to the name InvisiBrake. So it actually hides kind of in the floorboard and it does make for a little bit trickier of an install, but overall it looks really cleaned once it's installed. more

Now, a supplemental braking system works on your flat towed vehicle by allowing the brakes to be applied on the vehicle, and in case of an accidental disconnect, they'll pull your breakaway switch, putting the brakes on the vehicle and that way it's not rolling down the highway. Now, all of this ties into your diode wiring which is then hooked up to your RV. So, when those brakes are applied, it's gonna do the same on the vehicle. Now, it's one of five main components required for flat-towing your vehicle. more

So there's two main types of braking systems on the market. Portable system, which is what the Blue Ox Patriot is and we have permanent systems. Now, permanent systems are great, however they require a very lengthy installation and they also require some significant modifications to your vehicle. With a portable system, you're not gonna have that initial lengthy installation and most of the time, there's gonna be no modifications to the vehicle required whatsoever. Today in your 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Demco's Air Force One supplemental braking system with the Coachlink wireless feedback. Demco's Coachlink will take your braking system to the next level by giving you a wireless receiver inside of your motorhome that's gonna give you real-time feedback of when the brake pedal is being applied from your braking system. With the traditional Demco-style braking systems, you do get a monitor light included that will go on the back side of your mirror on the dash so that way you can see it in your rear view camera. But depending on your motorhome, you might not have a camera at the top or where your camera's pointed for backing up, it just may not be suitable for where the monitor light's located, and maybe the monitor that you have just isn't the clearest monitor. So you may still have to be aimed right at it, just really can't tell that it's coming on. more
